Volunteering at Ozark Natural Science Center - Join our team and make a difference!

When: September 8th, 2025, 9am - 2pm

Where: Kessler Mountain Nature Center and Outdoor Classroom, 1725 S. Smokehouse Trail, Fayetteville AR

What: Ozark Natural Science Center (ONSC) staff will train new volunteers (and give a refresher for experienced volunteers) for the Kessler Mountain field trip programs

As we gear up to embrace the fall season of school field trips, ONSC would love to include you in our team of volunteers!

The Kessler Mountain Nature Center is a unique collaborative program coordinated by ONSC and the Northwest Arkansas Land Trust that provides an outdoor learning experience for students of all ages. Facilities include a 0.8-mile interpretive loop trail, native plant and rain garden, and a 1,500-square foot indoor nature center.

This training is designed to empower and refine your outdoor and natural science education skills. During this engaging workshop, participants will receive a comprehensive introduction to the Kessler Mountain Nature Center field trip programs, making it an ideal opportunity for new volunteers to familiarize themselves with the mission and activities.
