🥾🌿 Guided Hike at ONSC with Butterfield Trail Village Hiking Club! 🌿🥾

Get ready for an adventure! Join us for a 2-hour guided hike at the Ozark Natural Science Center (ONSC) main campus, designed just for the Butterfield Trail Village Hiking Club! 🎉 This event is ONLY for Butterfield Trail Village Hikers.

We’ll hit the trails for an approximate 1-mile scenic hike, exploring the breathtaking beauty of the Ozarks. Along the way, you might spot towering hardwood forests 🌳, fascinating rock formations 🪨, and vibrant seasonal wildflowers 🌸. Keep your eyes peeled for white-tailed deer 🦌, chirping songbirds 🐦, and maybe even a majestic barred owl 🦉!

After our hike, we’ll take some time to relax, soak in the surroundings, and chat about the amazing sights we encountered over lunch in our dining hall. Whether you're a seasoned hiker or just looking for a leisurely stroll in nature, this is the perfect way to connect with the outdoors and fellow adventurers! 🌎✨

What to Bring:

🥾 Sturdy, close toed hiking shoes

💧 Reusable water bottle

👕 Long pants and weather appropriate layers

Schedule

9:15am-9:30am - Check-in

9:30am-9:45am - Orientation with ONSC staff

9:45am-11:45am - Hike

11:45am - noon - Restrooms, tick checks

Noon - 1pm - Lunch provided

1pm - ONSC Store will be open

Important Information

🚗Parking: Parking is available on site in our main parking lot.

🥾Please bring water bottle, long pants, close-toed shoes, and weather-appropriate clothing.

• Ticket prices are $22 per person

All proceeds go to support research, community science, and education at Ozark Natural Science Center.

Ticket Refund Policy

• Refunds up to 1 week before the event: Tickets are refundable minus any applicable fees (processing, administrative, etc.) until 7 days before the event.

• Refunds within 1 week of the event: For refund requests made less than 7 days prior to the event, a 50% refund will be given.

• No refunds within 24 hours of the event: Refund requests made within 24 hours of the event are not permitted, except in exceptional circumstances and only with approval from ONSC administration.

*Please note that all refund requests must be submitted in writing to jill.bowman@onsc.us. Refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days

About Ozark Natural Science Center 

ONSC offers a unique, immersion-based approach to learning about nature and the natural sciences. Students visit us for authentic science learning experiences that are correlated with national and state science learning standards and provide in-depth education in biology, ecology, geology, social studies, and nature art – all while students have fun hiking and experiencing nature. Camp activities include  hikes, team-building, games, art, and small-group activities.
