Join us at ONSC for a winter camp during New Year's Week. We will explore the various adaptations of animals and plants over the winter months, learn how to find and identify signs of animals in the wintertime, winter tree identification, winter weather phenomena, and much more!

About the Event
Join us at ONSC for 3 days of exploring winter wonders at Lake Fayetteville! Â We will explore the various adaptations of animals and plants over the winter months, learn how to find and identify signs of animals in the wintertime (especially tracks and scat), winter tree identification, winter weather phenomena, and much more!Â
This camp is for ages 7 - 14.

We strive to make ONSC programs accessible and affordable for all. In addition to ONSC's regular scholarship fund, we have been given a generous grant from the Walton Family Foundation so we can provide more camp scholarships. Apply here for a scholarship.

About Ozark Natural Science Center: ONSC offers a unique, immersion-based approach to learning about nature and the natural sciences. Students visit us for authentic science learning experiences that are correlated with national and state science learning standards and provide in-depth education in biology, ecology, geology, social studies, and nature art – all while students have fun hiking and experiencing nature. Camp activities include  hikes, team-building, games, art, and small-group activities.

Tentative Daily Camp Schedule:
8:00 - 9am - Arrival (and registration on first day)
Morning Session:Â
9:15am - 11:45am Field investigation (guided hike), nature journaling
12pm: Lunch (bring your own packed lunch)
Afternoon Session:Â
1:00pm - Active games
2:00pm Science lessons and activities
3 or 3:30pm - Snack (bring from home)
3:30 or 4:00pm - Eco-art and craftsÂ
4:30 - 5:30pm: Â Pick-up
