About the Event
Volunteering with Ozark Natural Science Center - Join our team and make a difference!
Our volunteers assist with outreach, admin projects, trail and grounds maintenance, education, and much more.
This (pre-)Spring Volunteer Work Day from 10AM-12PM and/or 1PM-4PM will help us prepare for the spring season at our ONSC @ Lake Fayetteville satellite location. Illinois River Watershed Partnership will also be helping with some maintenance of the Rain Garden planted last fall.
Volunteers can help with trail maintenance, rain garden maintenance, invasive species removal, and general litter clean-up on the grounds and nature trails, as well as possibly some extra cleaning and/ or maintenance of the education center building and site.
Bring your water bottle, work gloves, work boots, and tools if possible (including pruners, loppers, invasive plant/root pullers, shovels and rakes). Extra tools will be provided.
Please feel free to share with friends and family. Registration required--ticket links are below. (If you are only helping with the work day, the New Volunteer Orientation is optional, not required.)
If you are new to volunteering with ONSC, and interested in helping out beyond just work days, Register below to attend our New Volunteer Orientation from 9-10AM to find out more about ONSC, all of our volunteer opportunities, and the next steps to get you started volunteering with ONSC.
