Ozark Natural Science Center (ONSC) is gearing up for a summer full of outdoor excitement, discovery, and unforgettable memories—and we want YOU to be part of it!


What to Expect as an ONSC Volunteer

  • Join a team of like-minded educators and conservationists.

  • Flexibility! You set your own schedule by signing up for events.

  • New Volunteer Orientation, training, and continuing education.

  • Options to work behind the scenes, out in public, alone, or with a group. You decide!


Ready to volunteer with ONSC? Register below to attend an ONSC New Volunteer Orientation. You will have the option to attend in person, or through Google Meet (we will provide a link before the meeting).

This summer, we’re offering an amazing lineup of day camps at Lake Fayetteville and overnight camps at our beautiful main campus just north of Huntsville. Whether it’s hiking through the woods, hands-on science fun, or stargazing by the fire, our camps are all about meaningful, high-quality experiences in the great outdoors. 🌌🐾

🦋 Join the Fun as a Volunteer Chaperone!


We’re looking for awesome, enthusiastic volunteers to help bring the magic of camp to life. As a chaperone, you’ll team up with our staff to supervise campers during all sorts of activities—from field investigations (aka nature hikes!) to creative lessons, mealtimes, lodge hangouts, and more.

Bonus: You get to join in the fun too!

🛑 Heads-up: All adults working directly with ONSC program students and/or campers must have a clear background check before participating.
