About the Artist:

Hanna Craig's Artist Statement: I have been able to share my love of making with a variety of mediums through summer camps, after-school programs, and private lessons. However, outside of these settings I consistently find myself wandering back to paper and pencil. Drawing is a quiet practice which lends itself to the nature of my work. Specifically in dealing with themes of identity, place, and the natural world. Whether I am collaging or print making, each piece begins in pencil. There is a mindfulness to drawing, a slowing down. Being present and exploring my own softness as well as the medium’s between each layer of graphite.
