Febuary 8th 5pm-11pm
Join us for a night of owl education, food, and friends at the Ozark Natural Science Center!
Starting at 5pm Lynn Sciumbato, director of Morning Star Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, will give a presentation on raptor rehabilitation and conservation along with Sydney the Barred Owl and Igor the Turkey Vulture.
Dinner will begin at 6:00pm. Followed by a presentation and owling with Mitchell Pruitt. Owling with Mitchell will give attendees the opportunity to be a part of active ecological research. Attendees will first be given a presentation where Mitchell will discuss owls. Afterwards, research will begin and we will attempt to capture a live owl! Though Pruitt is known for his research on the saw-whet-owls, we will be focusing our attention on his new research on other owl species, not the saw-whet-owls.
