Tea Kettle Falls Hike
Time & Location
About the Event
Unplug and reconnect with your family during a hike to the beautiful Tea Kettle falls. This hidden gem has no trail to follow and can be difficult to find on your own, so let our teacher naturalist lead you there. Along the way, we'll share our knowledge of the forest around us and do some winter birding. Tea Kettle Falls is a glorious 46 foot falls that spills out of the top of the bluff line after it twists and turns its way through solid rock. This unique waterfall shows best after heavy rains but even when it isn't flowing, the setting surrounding it still stunning.
This hike will take about 3.5 hours round trip. Since there is no designated trail, hikers should be prepared to navigate over rough and steep terrain. We will still hike if it is cold or there is a light rain since the waterfall is best when it is wet anyway. All hikers should come with their own hiking gear and dress for the weather. Bring plenty of water, snacks, and a sack lunch to eat at the waterfall. Registration is required and space is limited.
All events will begin at ONSC.
Bring your own sack lunch. Please do not bring alcohol, glass, small children, or pets on this hike.
Due to limited ticket availability in our program, all tickets must be paid for prior to the event. Thank you for your understanding!
PayPal will accept your Credit or Debit card even if you do not have a PayPal account.
No refunds or transfers to other programs after December 1st.
