🥾Teacher Assistant Shadowing and Training🥾
Many dates available
Interested in helping students discover the wonders of nature while building your own leadership skills? Join our Teacher Assistant Shadowing and Training Program and become an essential part of Ozark Natural Science Center programs.
Volunteers trained in this role will gain the skills and confidence to assist with — and eventually lead — student groups during field trips and camps at our Main Campus and Lake Fayetteville location. Teacher Assistants support hands-on learning, guide outdoor exploration, and help create safe, engaging experiences for learners of all ages.
This training is ideal for volunteers who:
Enjoy working with children and teens
Have an interest in nature, science, and outdoor education
Want to grow as educators and leaders
Are eager to make a meaningful impact in their community
Join us in inspiring curiosity, stewardship, and a lifelong connection to the natural world.
🗓️When: Email jill.bowman@onsc.us to schedule a time to shadow.
What to Expect
Join a team of like-minded educators and conservationists to guide field trips and camp activities.
Shadow multiple field trips to get comfortable before guiding portions of the trip independently.
