About the Event

The Owl Prowl is back! An unforgettable night of owl education, food, and friends at Ozark Natural Science Center.

5:30PM: 3-Course Dinner from ONSC’s award-winning chef, Christine Pieper (see detailed menu below)

5:45 - 6:30PM: Presentation about raptor rehabilitation and conservation with Lynn Sciumbato, director of Morning Star Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, joined by Sydney the Barred Owl and Igor the Turkey Vulture

6:45 - 8PM: Presentation about owls, followed by active owl monitoring with Mitchell Pruitt, PhD candidate

As the night grows late, guests will take turns checking the nets and enjoying the campfire in the pavilion. Official programming will end by 8pm, but guests are welcome to stay until monitoring ends (as late as midnight).

Overnight accommodations available, with optional breakfast on Saturday, November 6.

    Includes 1 camp site at ONSC's platform tent sites. Each site can sleep up to 3 tents. Outhouse available, but no running water (water and restrooms are available on ONSC's main campus).

  • Lodging: Glampsite

    Includes the glampsite ("glamour camping") for 1 night at ONSC's campground - large canvas tent, queen bed with screen, personal outhouse, cooking station, solar lights, sunshower. This site sleeps up to 2 people. No running water, but water and restrooms are available on the main ONSC campus.

  • Lodging: Room in a Lodge

    Includes 1 room in one of ONSC's Lodges. Each room has an attached private bathroom with shower. Lodge rooms can sleep 4 - 6 people in twin bunkbeds. There is a shared entryway and living room for all of the rooms. View photos of our lodges at https://www.onsc.us/facilities
