š§ Get ready for another unforgettable ONSC-led hike to the breathtaking Tea Kettle Falls AND Reynolds Falls! Whether youāre a returning participant or new to this adventure, this is your chance to explore the hidden beauty of the Ozark Oak-Hickory Forest and experience the magic of this secluded gem, also known locally as the Kettle Falls.
Ā š„¾This is no ordinary hike! This off-trail, bushwhacking adventure will take you through steep and rugged terrain, including woods, riverbeds, and even a potential water crossing. Along the way, our expert ONSC staff will share fascinating insights about the Ozark forestās ecology. This hike is perfect for nature lovers and thrill-seekers alike!
Highlights
Tea Kettle FallsĀ is a glorious 46-foot waterfall that spills from the top of the bluff line, twisting and turning its way through solid rock. While the falls are most spectacular after heavy rains, their charm shines even when gently flowing.
As we continue upstream along Warm Fork Creek, weāll discover a lovely grotto and the picturesque Reynolds Fallsāa well-kept secret thatās sure to delight.
Important Details
šļøĀ Difficulty: This is NOT an easy hikeāitās a true adventure! We recommend this hike for experienced hikers only!
ā°ļøElevation Changes: This hike includes a 600 ft elevation change, which is equivalent to walking up and down a 50-story building!
š„¾Length: This hike is approximately 5 miles.
ā ļøAges: Open to participants aged 16 and up (no children under 16).
š“ Food: Please bring your own water bottle, snacks, and a sack lunch to enjoy along the way.
š¶Pets: Please do not bring pets on this hike.
š«Prohibited items: Please do not bring alcohol or glass on this hike. Smoking is only allowed in designated areas on the ONSC campus.

Schedule
9:30am - 9:55am: Check-in at the Lewis Pavilion, restrooms, and prepare for hike
9:55am - 10am: Orientation with ONSC Staff
10am - approx 3pm: Hike
3pm - 3:30pm: ONSC Store will be open for shopping

Ticket Refund Policy
Refunds up to 1 week before the event:Ā Tickets are refundable minus any applicable fees (processing, administrative, etc.) until 7 days before the event.
Refunds within 1 week of the event:Ā For refund requests made less than 7 days prior to the event, a 50% refund will be given.
No refunds within 24 hours of the event: Refund requests made within 24 hours of the event are not permitted, except in exceptional circumstances and only with approval from ONSC administration.
*Please note that all refund requests must be submitted in writing to jill.bowman@onsc.us. Refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days
About Ozark Natural Science CenterĀ
ONSC offers a unique, immersion-based approach to learning about nature and the natural sciences. Students visit us for authentic science learning experiences that are correlated with national and state science learning standards and provide in-depth education in biology, ecology, geology, social studies, and nature art ā all while students have fun hiking and experiencing nature. Camp activities include Ā hikes, team-building, games, art, and small-group activities.
