🌱 ONSC Spring Workday at Main Campus
Friday, February 28 | 9am-4pm
📍 ONSC Main Campus | 1905 Madison 1305, Huntsville, AR
Join us for a day of hands-on stewardship as we prepare our main campus for spring! 🌸 Volunteers can sign up for one session or stay for the full day to help care for our trails, outdoor learning spaces, and campus grounds.
👉 Please RSVP in advance to help us plan staffing, tools, and lunch. Thank you!
🛠️ Volunteer Activities May Include:
Litter pick-up 🗑️
Invasive and nuisance species removal
Weeding and maintenance of garden and outdoor learning spaces 🌼
Sweeping outdoor decks and common areas
Cutting and clearing fallen wood
Trail maintenance (pruning, lopping, and possible weed-whacking)
Cleaning indoor spaces
🕒 Workday Sessions:
Morning Session: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Lunch Break: 12:00 – 1:00 PM (🍽️ Lunch provided by ONSC)
Afternoon Session: 1:00 – 4:00 PM
You’re welcome to join us for one session or both!
🎒 What to Bring:
Refillable water bottle 💧
Work gloves
Work boots or sturdy closed-toe shoes
Tools, if you have them (hand saws, chainsaws, wood-splitting tools, pruners, loppers, extractors, etc.)
Extra tools will be available.
👨👩👧 Youth Volunteers:
All volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of their volunteer session(s).

About Ozark Natural Science Center
ONSC offers a unique, immersion-based approach to learning about nature and the natural sciences. Students visit us for authentic science learning experiences that are correlated with national and state science learning standards and provide in-depth education in biology, ecology, geology, social studies, and nature art – all while students have fun hiking and experiencing nature. Camp activities include hikes, team-building, games, art, and small-group activities.
