🌱 ONSC Spring Workday at Kessler Mountain
Saturday, March 14, 2026 | Multiple Sessions
📍 ONSC Kessler Mountain Location - 1725 Smokehouse Lane, Fayetteville, AR
Join us for a full day of hands-on stewardship at Kessler Mountain! Volunteers will help care for trails and surrounding outdoor spaces through trail maintenance, invasive plant removal, and general site cleanup. You’re welcome to join us for one session or stay for the full day—every bit of help makes a difference! 🌎

🛠️ Volunteer Activities May Include:
Trail maintenance (pruning, lopping, and general upkeep) 🥾
Invasive plant removal along trails and around buildings 🌿
Yard and around-building cleanup
Litter pick-up 🗑️
General outdoor maintenance as needed
🕒 Workday Schedule:
9:00 – 12:00 PM – Volunteer session 1
12:00 – 1:00 PM – Lunch break (bring a packed lunch to picnic or grab food nearby 🥪)
1:00 – 4:00 PM – Yard and around-building cleanup, invasive removal, and additional trail maintenance as needed
🎒 What to Bring:
Refillable water bottle 💧
Packed lunch (if staying through the midday break)
Work gloves
Work boots or sturdy closed-toe shoes
Tools, if you have them (pruners, loppers, hand saws, extractors, etc.)
Extra tools will be provided.
👨👩👧 Youth Volunteers:
All volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of their volunteer session(s).

About Ozark Natural Science Center
ONSC offers a unique, immersion-based approach to learning about nature and the natural sciences. Students visit us for authentic science learning experiences that are correlated with national and state science learning standards and provide in-depth education in biology, ecology, geology, social studies, and nature art – all while students have fun hiking and experiencing nature. Camp activities include hikes, team-building, games, art, and small-group activities.
