Explore the intersection of forests & water through hands-on learning

Join us for an interactive, engaging professional development workshop designed for both formal and non-formal educators interested in environmental education. This combined Project Learning Tree (PLT) and Project WET (Water Education Today) training will immerse participants in activities that highlight the powerful connection between forest and aquatic ecosystems—right where the Ozark woodlands meet the shores of Lake Fayetteville.

Participants will gain access to multiple activity guides aligned with state and national education standards, featuring dozens of hands-on lessons for K–8 (PLT) and K–12 (WET) learners. While the workshop will focus on grades 3–6, modifications will be offered for younger and older age groups.

Whether you teach indoors or outdoors, this experience is designed to strengthen your toolkit with fun, meaningful, and easy-to-implement activities that inspire environmental awareness and stewardship.
