
Executive Director Rose is an Ozark native and has also lived in NY, France, TN, and VA. In Virginia, she worked for several environmental nonprofits, including StreamWatch and The Nature Conservancy. Since returning to NWA in 2018, Rose has worked for Crystal Bridges Museum and co-founded a forest school. In her spare time, Rose spends time with her family, hikes, makes art, and gives presentations about sustainability.

Programs and Communications Manager Jill graduated from Oklahoma State University with a BS in Elementary Education and from the University of Arkansas with a Master’s in Education. Jill is originally from a rural area in central Kansas but currently lives in Huntsville. Jill loves Llamas, alpacas, coffee, music, and all things Oklahoma State.

Hospitality and Kitchen Manager Hanna is originally from west Texas but has lived in Arkansas since 2019. She graduated with a BA in studio art from Ouachita Baptist University and continues to create art inspired by the natural beauty of the Ozarks. Hanna came to ONSC with a love of nature, cooking, and a knack for folding fitted sheets. In her free time she enjoys visiting local art galleries, reading, and hiking.

Lead Teacher Naturalist Chloe grew up in the Ouachita Mountains before moving up north to the Ozark Plateaus. They graduated with a Bachelor’s of Biological Engineering with minors in Sustainability and Environmental Engineering from the University of Arkansas. Chloe loves to learn new creative skills and to be outdoors exploring and learning about nature.

Maintenance Technician Dwayne grew up on a small farm at the end of a dirt road in Madison county. He's a graduate of Huntsville High School and American College, and attended the University of Arkansas. Dwayne's serious hobby is singing and playing old-time music with banjo, guitar, mandolin and juice harp.

Fundraising Assistant and Teacher Naturalist Olivia is originally from North Austin, Texas, and then moved to West Texas and received her bachelor's degree in Natural Resource Management! She is currently getting her master's degree in both Park and Resource Management and Environmental Education. She loves hiking, running, reading, and finding new music!

Teacher Naturalist Jonathan holds a Master of Education and a Ph.D. in Public Policy from the University of Arkansas and has lived in Spain and Germany. He is passionate about ecology, natural medicine, and wildlife, and he enjoys hiking and foraging, gardening, and spending time with his children, dog, and turtle.

Teacher Naturalist Ira is an Arkansas native who gains more love for this land every day. He has spent his life in service to community. His weekends are spent in caves, on rivers, or drudging about in a forest. He can't wait to share the Ozarks with everyone!
